Itinerary
Day 1: Windhoek – Namib Desert (Unguided)
Depart early afternoon to a comfortable lodge bordering the scenic Namib landscape.
Day 2: Sossusvlei
Early morning Sossusvlei excursion. Climb the world’s highest sand dunes. Visit rugged Sesriem Canyon. Afternoon nature drive.
Day 3: Namib Desert – Swakopmund (Unguided)
After breakfast, travel via Kuiseb Canyon to Swakopmund. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 4: Swakopmund (Unguided)
Explore Swakopmund and enjoy some of the many optional activities (extra cost). Meet fellow travellers and guide for dinner.
Day 5: Swakopmund – Damaraland
Depart early. See the Rock Art and the Organ Pipes at Twyfelfontein. Lunch pack en route. Arrive at remote lodge in Damaraland in the late afternoon.
Day 6: Damaraland
Morning nature drive in rocky Damaraland, one of the last wilderness areas in Africa. Guided walk in the afternoon, or at leisure.
Day 7: Damaraland – Otjiwarongo Depart Damaraland.
Visit a Himba village near Kamanjab and learn more about this semi-nomadic people. Arrive at small a game farm in late afternoon.
Day 8: Otjiwarongo – Etosha
Join a local guide on a morning walk in the park surrounding your lodge. Travel towards Etosha National Park and enjoy a game drive in the late afternoon.
Day 9: Etosha National Park
Full day in the Park, exploring the various waterholes along this vast saltpan.
Day 10: Etosha National Park
Full day in Etosha where some of the rare and endangered mammal species may be encountered.
Day 11: Etosha – Windhoek
DEpart for Windhoek via Otjiwarongo and Okahandja to explore a local handicraft market. Tour ends in Windhoek during late afternoon.
