Itinerary
Day 1: Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
Begin your voyage, departing Rome late tonight.
Day 2: Ponza, Italy
The pastel houses of Ponza Town rise in neat terraced rows from the busy harbour where sleekly groomed yachts and ramshackle fishing boats moor side by side. There are few tourists here, so it’s a delight to wander through the unspoiled town.
Day 3: Capri, Italy
Arrive in Capri late morning and enjoy the rest of the day here. Take the short chairlift ride to Monte Solaro for great views or visit one of Capri's great tourist attractions, the Blue Grotto.
Day 4: Taormina, Sicily
Perched on the shoulder of Mt Etna, overlooking the green Gulf of Catania is Taormina. Shop along the steep, cobblestoned streets of Corso Umberto.
Day 5: At Sea
Day 6: Corfu, Greece
Legendary Corfu is a lush and romantic island, written about by Homer in his famous Odyssey. There is plenty of time to visit places of interest such as Achilleon, Paleokastritsa and Kanoni.
Day 7: Kotor, Montenegro
Surrounded by mountains, this medieval walled city, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, is accessed by an 18th century gate from the harbour front. Within the walls, you will find tangled streets, handsome piazzas, Romanesque churches and a 6th century clocktower.
Day 8: Dubrovnik, Croatia
Dubrovnik faces the sea at the foot of rugged limestone mountains and is well known for its medieval double walls and fortifications. You will have the afternoon free to explore.
Day 9: Korcula, Croatia
The beautifully green island of Korcula lies off the southern Croatian coast in the Adriatic Sea. Enjoy a walking tour of the ancient Venetian town of Korcula and see the beautiful cathedral of St Mark with its wonderful carvings or visit the town of Blato.
Day 10: Hvar, Croatia
Hvar has been continuously inhabited since early Neolithic times, and an ancient wall surrounds the old city. You will spend the entire day here exploring the town.
Day 11: Rovinj, Croatia
Rovinj is a delightful port town on the Gulf of Venice retaining its medieval character as well as its elegant Venetian piazzas and houses. Known as the Monmartre of Istria, it is an artists’ colony featuring many galleries and a Baroque town gate built by one of the local families.
Day 12: Venice, Italy
Arrive in Venice early in the morning and disembark.
